Prince Music Theater Listed for Sale at October 5 Sherriff’s Auction

The Prince Music Theater has been listed as one of the properties to be sold at a sheriff’s sale in Philadelphia on October 5.

As previously reported, the company had been involved in litigation with TD Bank for more than two years. On Monday, the state Superior Court refused to forestall the sheriff’s sale, according to a report in The Philadelphia Inquirer. Marjorie Samoff, producing director of the theater, said she was exploring other options to prevent TD Bank from taking possession of the facility.

The Prince includes a 446-seat main stage and smaller black-box theater. Court records indicate that the theater owes TD Bank approximately $4.7 million.
