Philadelphia Theatre Company Announces Casting for Ruined; Colin Quinn’s Long Story Short Added to Schedule

Philadelphia Theatre Company (PTC) has announced complete casting for Lynn Nottage’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play Ruined, to run May 20 – June 12. Maria Mileaf will direct the production.


Ruined looks at how a group of strong-willed women in the Congo survive the country’s ongoing civil war. The company will feature Oberon K.A. Adjepong (Christian), Sean-Michael Bowles (Simon), Khris Davis (Rebel Soldier), James Ijames (Fortune), Kes Khemnu (Kisembe), Jamil A.C. Mangan (Osembenga), Paul Meshejian (Mr. Harari), Erika Rose (Salima), Heather Alicia Simms (Mama), Chandra Thomas (Josephine), and Keona Welch (Sophie).

The creative team will include Antje Ellermann (scenic design), Russell H. Champa (lighting design), Janus Stefanowicz (costume design), and Bart Fasbender (sound design).

In related news, PTC has announced that Colin Quinn will bring his show, Long Story Short to the theater, running June 28 – July 10. Directed by Jerry Seinfeld, the piece was seen earlier this year on Broadway.
