Tonight’s first preview of Some Old Black Man at 59E59 Theaters has been canceled because of illness. Performances will resume on Friday, February 9. According to press representatives for 59E59 Theaters, ticket holders should contact their point of purchase for an exchange or refund.

Some Old Black Man, presented by Berkshire Playwrights Lab, is written by James Anthony Tyler and directed by Joe Cacaci. The story is described as follows: "When college professor, Calvin Jones, moves his 82-year-old doggedly independent, blue collar, ailing, father from Greenwald, Mississippi into his Harlem penthouse, an argument over what to eat for breakfast turns into a generational clash over race, opportunity, and a decision that Calvin made years ago."

Wendell Pierce (Treme, Suits) and Tony Award winner Roger Robinson (How to Get Away with Murder) costar in the limited engagement, running through March 4 in Theater B.
