The Civilians have announced casting In the Footprint: The Battle Over the Atlantic Yards, to run November 12-December 11 at the Irondale Arts Center, with an official opening on November 22.

The piece, which will feature music and lyrics by Michael Friedman, will be directed by Steven Cosson, who has co-written the show with Jocelyn Clarke. In the Footprint investigates the story of Brooklyn's controversial land development project, and has been developed from its inspiration from interviews with the real life players in the story: residents both old and new, community activists, developers, local business owners, and politicos, among others.

The company will feature Matthew Dellapina, Greg McFadden, Colleen Werthmann, Billy Eugene Jones, Donnetta Lavinia Grays, and Simone Moore.
