Natascia Diaz to Step into The Best Is Yet To Come Off-Broadway

Natascia Diaz will appear in six performances of The Best Is Yet To Come: The Music of Cy Coleman, playing at 59E59 Theaters, June 16-19. She will be stepping in for company member Sally Mayes, who will be fulfilling a prior engagement.

Diaz’s Broadway credits include Carousel, Seussical, and Man of La Mancha. Among her many other stage credits are the title role in Kiss of the Spider Woman at Signature Theatre and Jacques Brel Is Alive and Well and Living in Paris Off-Broadway. In addition, she starred in a concert version of The Capeman, in which she also appeared on Broadway, in Central Park last summer.


Directed and devised by David Zippel, The Best Is Yet To Come also features David Burnham, Howard McGillin, Billy Stritch, Lillias White, and Rachel York. The show includes as-yet unpublished Coleman works, along with songs from several of Coleman’s musicals, including City of Angels, Sweet Charity, Barnum, The Life, Little Me, and The Will Rogers Follies. In addition the show contains, many of the standards he wrote (with lyricist Carolyn Leigh) that were made famous by Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, and Barbra Streisand.
