Transport Group has extended Lysistrata Jones. The musical, directed and choreographed by Dan Knechtges, will now play through June 24 at Judson Memorial Church.

The show, inspired by Aristophanes’ Lysistrata and featuring a book by Douglas Carter Beane and music and lyrics by Lewis Flinn, is set at Athens University, where head cheerleader Lysistrata Jones swears to hold out on “giving it up” until the school’s basketball team reverses its seemingly hopeless losing streak.

The company features Alexander Aguilar (Uardo), Katie Boren (Lampito Kanagawa), Lindsay Chambers (Robin/Shelley), Max Kumangai (Tyllus), Liz Mikel (Heterai), Patti Murin (Lysistrata Jones), Kat Nejat (Cleonice), Josh Segarra (Mick), LaQuet Sharnell (Mhyrinne), Jason Tam (Xander), Teddy Toye (Harold), and Alex Wyse (Cinesius).

The creative team includes scenic designer Allen Moyer, costume designers David C. Woolard and Thomas LeGalley, lighting designer Michael Gottlieb, and sound designer Tony Meola.
