Complete cast and creative team have been announced for Second Stage Theatre will present Everyday Rapture, a new show with music starring and co-written by Sherie Rene Scott, beginning on April 7, with an official opening on May 3.

The show, which is also co-authored by Dick Scanlan, will be directed by Tony Award Michael Mayer and feature musical staging by Michel Lynch, musical supervision and orchestrations by Tom Kitt, and musical direction by Carmel Dean.

The loosely autobiographical piece is described as "the story of a young woman's psycho-sexual journey that separates her mostly Mennonite past from her mostly Manhattan future." It will include songs made famous by David Byrne, George Harrison, U2, The Dap Kings, and Judy Garland.

Scott's co-stars will be Eamon Foley, Lindsey Mendez, and Betsy Wolfe. The show will feature set design by Christine Jones, costume design by Tom Broecker, lighting design by Kevin Adams, and sound design by Brian Ronan.

Scott's New York credits include The Litte Mermaid, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, for which she received a Tony Award nomination, Aida, Landscape of the Body, The Last 5 Years, and Debbie Does Dallas.
