In the 70-minute piece, which is inspired by John Cage's 1959 classic, Indeterminacy, Jones will read 70 of his own one-minute, highly personal stories of while members of his dance company perform around his seated figure.
The piece features an original score created by Ted Coffey, who will perform live, along with set design by Bjorn Amelan, costumes by Liz Prince, and lighting design by Robert Wierzel.
The work will also be performed at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis (February 16-19); Cal Performances in Berkeley, California (February 24-25) UApresents in Tucson, Arizona, (March 3), and FirstWorks in Providence, Rhode Island (March 10).
Jones received Tony Awards for his choreography of Fela! and Spring Awakening, among other honors, and a Lucille Lortel Award for his choreography of The Seven.
