Ringling Brothers Circus to Skip NYC in 2011

The Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey circus will skip New York City due to the upcoming renovation of Madison Square Garden.

According to the paper, the 141st edition of the circus, entitled The Greatest Show on Earth, Fully Charged! will play the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, February 23-27, e Izod Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey, March 2-13; and the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York, March 16-21.

Madison Square Garden will be undergoing a multi-phase renovation that is expected to last until 2013; no decision has been made as to whether the circus will return in 2012.
