Kathleen Chalfant to Star in Noor Theatre Reading of Fit for the Queen

Award-winning actress Kathleen Chalfant will star in Noor Theatre’s concert reading of Betty Shamieh’s Fit for the Queen: A Tragicomedy, to be offered on December 13 at 7:30pm at The Fourth Street Theatre. Lisa Peterson will direct the performance.
The play, inspired by the life of Hatshepsut, a woman who ruled as pharaoh in ancient Egypt, focuses on how Hatshepsut’s female lover helps her as she finds herself at odds with an unexpectedly ruthless rival for power – her daughter.
The company will also feature Demosthenes Chrysan, Lanna Joffrey, Laith Nakli, Michele Rafic, Ariel Shafir, Ted Sod and Rasha Zamamiri.
