Byron Easley, Ciarán O’Reilly Win Joe A. Callaway Awards

The Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDCF) has announced that the recipients of the 2010 Joe A. Callaway Award will be director Ciarán O’Reilly for Irish Repertory Theatre’s The Emperor Jones, and choreographer Byron Easley for urbanStages’ Langston in Harlem.

The award recognizes excellence in the craft of directing and choreography during the New York City theatre season from September 1, 2009, through August 31, 2010, and is the only award given by professional directors and choreographers to their peers for specific productions.
