Stage veterans Angela Bassett, Claire Danes, and Kelsey Grammer may all be coming to television.
Bassett has been signed to play New York’s first female police commissioner in the ABC pilot One Police Plaza; Danes — who won an Emmy this year for Temple Grandin — will play a CIA agent in Showtime’s Homeland; and Grammer, who is currently starring in Broadway’s La Cage Aux Folles; will play a Chicago mayor in Starz’ Boss.
No word on when or if these pilots will be picked up as series.
