Lea Michele to Perform "Papa Can You Hear Me?" on October 5 Episode of FOX’s Glee

Lea Michele will sing “Papa Can You Hear Me?” on the October 5 episode of FOX’s Glee. The number, with music by Michel Legrand and lyrics by Alan and Marilyn Bergman, was originally delivered by Barbra Streisand in the movie Yentl.

The other numbers that will be performed on the show are Billy Joel’s “Only The Good Die Young,” Whitney Houston’s “I Look To You,” The Beatles’ “I Want To Hold Your Hand,” R.E.M.’s “Losing My Religion,” Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel’s “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” and Joan Osborne’s “One Of Us.”

The cast for the series also features Matthew Morrison, Jane Lynch, Cory Monteith, Mark Salling, Jessalyn Gilsig, Dianna Agron, Chris Colfer, Jayma Mays, Heather Morris, Naya Rivera, and Jenna Ushkowitz.

Michele starred on Broadway in Ragtime and Spring Awakening. She also performed on the 2010 Tony Awards.
