Tiger Haynes, Marni Nixon, Margaret Whiting, et al. Featured on Newly Released Taking My Turn Cast Recording

The original cast recording of the 1983 musical Taking My Turn is now available for digital download and purchase in a new release from 150 Music.

With lyrics by Will Holt and music by Gary William Friedman, Taking My Turn featured Margaret Whiting, Cissy Houston, Marni Nixon and Tiger Haynes. The show, which adaptor/director Robert H. Livingston crafted from interviews, focuses on the realities of growing older.

The show won the 1984 Outer Critic’s Circle Award for Best Lyrics/Music and received a Drama Desk Award nomination for Best Musical. After its Off-Broadway run, the show was seen on PBS’ Great Performances.
