Stephen Lang, Jason O’Mara to Star on FOX’s Terra Nova

Stage and screen stars Stephen Lang and Jason O’Mara will headline Fox’s upcoming mid-season drama Terra Nova, according to published reports. The series, which will be executive produced by Steven Spielberg, is expected to debut in Fall 2011.

O’Mara will play Jim Shannon, a man from 2149 who travels through time with a group of settlers to set up a colony in prehistoric Earth in order to save the human race. Lang will play Frank Taylor, the determined leader and first settler of Terra Nova.

O’Mara’s stage credits include Serenading Louie with Jason Butler Harner, and The Homecoming, with Ian Holm. He recently starred on the ABC series Life on Mars with Michael Imperioli and Gretchen Mol.

Lang’s many stage credits include Death of a Salesman and Defiance, and his film credits include Avatar and Public Enemies.
