Julie Taymor Set for Talkback Following The Tempest Benefit Screening at BAM

Tony Award winner and Academy Award nominee Julie Taymor will participate in a talkback following a screening of her new film adaptation of Shakespeare’s The Tempest, to be offered on October 17 at 5pm at the BAM Rose Cinema. The event will serve as a benefit for Theater for a New Audience’s new home in the BAM Cultural District.

In addition to Taymor, the talkback will include members of the cast of the movie, which features Helen Mirren, Russell Brand, Reeve Carney, Chris Cooper, Tom Conti, Alan Cumming, Djimon Hounsou, Felicity Jones, Alfred Molina, David Strathairn and Ben Whishaw. Following the screening and discussion, a dinner will be held in the BAM Lepercq Space.

Tickets range from $500.00 to $2,500.00 for film, talkback and dinner, and can be purchased by calling 212-229-2819, extension 25. A very limited number of $50.00 tickets for film and talkback only are also available.
