Mark Blum, Rachel de Benedet, Finesse Mitchell, and Janet Zarish are among the performers who will appear at the Bay Street Theatre in Sag Harbor this fall.

De Benedet, who starred on Broadway in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, will play female detective Butch Diamond in the theater’s reading of Venus Flytrap on September 9 at 2pm. The play, written by Marcia Milgrom Dodge and her husband Anthony Dodge, will also star Montego Glover, Liz Pearce, Josh Walden, Matt Walton, and Richard B. Watson.

On September 10 at 2pm, Blum and Zarish — who are married in real life and recently co-starred in the Old Globe Theatre’s production of The Sisters Rosensweig — will appear in a reading of Richard Dresser’s new play The Pursuit of Happiness.

On October 13-14, Sloane Shelton will star in a workshop production of Jan Buckaloo’s Eudora Welty, to be directed by Austin Pendleton. Shelton has appeared in numerous Broadway shows over the past five decades, including A Touch of the Poet, I Never Sang for My Father, The Runner Stumbles, and Orpheus Descending.

In addition, the Bay Street Comedy Club will host Saturday Night Live star Finesse Mitchell on September 23. Other performers scheduled to appear there include Greg Giraldo (September 9), Paula Poundstone (September 16), and Emmy Award winner Robert Wuhl (October 7).
