Full Casting Announced For Actors Fund Benefit of They’re Playing Our Song With Sutton Foster and Seth Rudetsky

Full casting has been announced for the one-night concert of They’re Playing Our Song on Monday, August 30 at 7:30pm at the Gerald W. Lynch Theatre at John Jay College. Proceeds will be benefit The Actors Fund.

The show will be directed and choreographer by Denis Jones, with musical direction by Steve Freeman.

The musical, which has a book by Neil Simon, music by Marvin Hamlisch, and lyrics by Carole Bayer Sager, focuses on an established wisecracking composer who ends up in a professional and personal relationship with an offbeat lyricist. The original 1979 Broadway production ran for over two years.

Sutton Foster will play Sonia Walsk, and The Voices of Sonia Walsk will be performed by Amber Efé, Kaitlyn Davidson, and Alex Ellis.

Seth Rudetsky will play Vernon Gersch, and The Voices of Vernon Gersch will be performed by Tyler Maynard, Matt Loehr, and Jesse Nager.
