A preliminary lineup of performers has been announced for Broadway Sings Tori: a Benefit for RAINN, to be offered at 8pm on Monday, June 27 at New World Stages. Colleen Harris and Ben Cameron will serve as hosts for the concert, which will have musical direction by Brian Nash and raise funds for the Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network (RAINN).
The concert will feature songs by Tori Amos, who was the first spokesperson for RAINN. Artists who are scheduled to appear at the event include Christine Andreas, Celina Carvajal, Steven Cutts, Stephanie D’Abruzzo, Natalie Joy Johnson, Molly Pope, Kate Shindle, Katie Thompson, and Max Von Essen. Additional casting will be announced shortly.
RAINN operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline and the National Sexual Assault Online Hotline and publicizes the hotlines’ free, confidential services; educates the public about sexual violence; and leads national efforts to prevent sexual violence, improve services to victims and ensure that rapists are brought to justice.
