Baayork Lee, Donna McKechnie, et al. Set for May 16 Every Little Step Documentary Panel

Baayork Lee and Donna McKechnie, who originated, respectively, the roles of Connie and Cassie in Broadway’s A Chorus Line, will take part in a panel discussion about the show in conjunction with a screening of the documentary, Every Little Step, to be held at the Times Square Visitors Center and Mini-Museum as part of the 2011 Tony Awards Showcase, on Monday, May 16. The film screening will begin at 7pm, with the talkback to follow.

The documentary follows the real-life dancers as they struggle through auditions for the Broadway revival of A Chorus Line. It also takes a look at the history of the show and the creative minds behind the original and revival Broadway shows. The panel will be moderated by John Breglio, Every Little Step executive producer, and producer of the 2006 revival of A Chorus Line, and will also feature Jay Binder, the casting director for the 2006 revival of A Chorus Line.

As previously reported, the inaugural Tony Award Documentary Film Series at the Times Square Visitors Center and Mini-Museum will feature works that examine what it’s like to be behind-the-scenes on a Tony-eligible Broadway musical. Upcoming events will include a screening of Show Business: The Road to Broadway on Monday, May 23.

The Tony Awards Film Series is free to the public. To RSVP, send ticket requests (two per person) and film preference to TonyFilmSeries@broadway.org.
