Ben Stiller and art dealer David Zwimer are partnering to create Artists for Haiti, a benefit auction to be held at Christie’s on September 22. Proceeds from the event will go to nonprofit organizations working in Haiti, including Architecture for Humanity, J/P Haitian Relief Organization, Partners in Health and Grameen Creative Lab.

Among the artists who have already donated works that will be sold at the event are Chuck Close, Paul McCarthy, Jasper Johns, Dan Flavin, Jeff Koons and Hiroshi Sugimoto. Zwirner’s gallery will preview the artworks prior to the sale, in early September.

Stiller is currently starring on Broadway in John Guare’s The House of Blue Leaves. Among his other stage credits are the 1986 revival of Guare’s play on Broadway, and Neil LaBute’s This Is How It Goes. He is best known for his film and television work, earning a 1993 Emmy for writing on his The Ben Stiller Show. In addition, he has established the Stiller Foundation to help promote the education and well-being of Haitian children.
