Daniella Topol, Stefanie Zadravec Receive NYCWAM’s Collaboration Award
Playwright Stefanie Zadravec and director Daniella Topol are the recipients of New York Coalition of Professional Women in the Arts & Media, Inc. (NYCWAM)’s 2011 Collaboration Award, for their work on The Electric Baby. They will receive the award at a gala at the Gershwin Hotel, to be held on Monday, March 21.
The award, which comes with a $1000 cash prize, honors successful collaborations among women from different specializations in the arts and media.
Two projects have also been designated as “Honored Finalists,” and will each receive a $100 award: Slashes of Light, from collaborators Judy Tate and Melissa Maxwell, and Thirst, from collaborators Anita Chandwaney and MEH Lewis.
Projects named in the “Honorable Mention” category are: Appetite, collaborators Arden Kass and Lorca Peress; Communicate Sober, collaborators Jan Buttram and Bara Swain; Seven, collaborators Anna Deavere Smith, Carol Mack, Catherine Filoux, Gail Kriegel, Paula Cizmar, Ruth Margraff and Susan Yankowitz; Orange Chicken, a screenplay from collaborators Nina Braddock and Katy Frame; and Sila, collaborators Chantal Bilodeau and Seema Sueko.
