Tituss Burgess to Host APAC’s 10th Anniversary Gala

Broadway veteran Tituss Burgess will host the tenth anniversary gala for The Astoria Performing Arts Center (APAC), to be held at Cienna (2818 31st Street in Astoria), on Thursday, March 24 at 6pm.

The event will feature a special performance entitled Beautiful Music: 10 Years of APAC, directed by Tom Wojtunik, with musical direction by Jeffrey Campos. This medley features selections from the musicals produced at APAC in its ten year history: Children of Eden, Ragtime, Triumph of Love, A New Brain, Forever Plaid, Lucky Stiff, Is There Life After High School?, Nunsense, and You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. The medley will end with the Galt MacDermot song “Beautiful Music” from APAC’s upcoming production of The Human Comedy, led by Burgess.

The cast will also include Erika Amato, Stacie Bono, Philip Deyesso, Jonathan Gregg, D. William Hughes, Shad Olsen, Amanda Ryan Paige, and Erin Michelle Washington.

The gala will also honor Hal Rosenbluth, President of Kaufman Astoria Studios, and Council Member Peter Vallone Jr.
