The New York Philharmonic has postponed the previously reported Henry V: A Shakespeare Scenario, which was to have been offered on Monday, April 11 at 7:30pm at Avery Fisher Hall. A replacement program, to be conducted by Alan Gilbert, will be announced shortly.

The delay has been necessitated by a change in Christopher Plummer’s availability as he films Barrymore. The stage and screen star was to have narrated the event, which was to have featured music from Sir William Walton’s Oscar-nominated score for the Laurence Olivier film of Shakespeare’s Henry V, and also include music of Shakespeare’s time.

All ticket holders will be notified via e-mail or mail. Ticket holders can request a refund, exchange for another concert in the 2010-11 season or donate their tickets for a tax acknowledgement through the Philharmonic’s Customer Relations Department at 212-875-5656, 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.
