Margin Call Film, Starring Jeremy Irons, Kevin Spacey, to Open New Directors/New Films Series

J.C. Chandor’s film Margin Call, which features theater veterans Jeremy Irons, Kevin Spacey, Stanley Tucci, and Zachary Quinto, will open the annual New Directors/New Films series, which will run March 23-April 3 in New York City.

The Wall Street thriller is set during the early stages of the 2008 financial crisis. The cast also includes Paul Bettany, Penn Badgley, Simon Baker, Mary McDonnell, and Demi Moore.

The series, which is sponsored by the Museum of Modern Art and the Film Society of Lincoln Center, will feature 28 films from around the world, including Copacabana, starring French stage and screen actress Isabelle Huppert.
