Aaron Sorkin Wins Scripter and WGA Awards for Social Network Screenplay

Aaron Sorkin has won both the Writers Guild of America Award and the Scripter Award for his screenplay for The Social Network.

Sorkin is nominated for the Academy Award for his screenplay for the film, which is about the founding of the social media site Facebook. The film received a total of eight Oscar nominations, including Best Picture.

Sorkin is the author of the plays A Few Good Men and The Farnsworth Invention and is well known for his work on the television series The West Wing and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.
