Estelle Parsons to Be Honored at Women’s Project Gala

Stage and film legend Estelle Parsons will be honored at the Women’s Project’s annual Women of Achievement gala, to be held on Monday, March 2 at the Pierre Hotel. Newscaster Diana Williams will emcee the event.

The company will also honor composer Lucia Hwong, magazine editor Susan K. Reed, and Susan Sobbott, president of American Express OPEN. Actor B.D. Wong and director Arthur Penn will be among the presenters.

Parsons is currently starring as Violet Weston in the Broadway production of August: Osage County and will reprise that role in the show’s national tour. She has received Tony Award nominations for her work in The Seven Descents of Myrtle, And Miss Reardon Drinks a Little, Miss Margarida’s Way, and Mornings at Seven. She won the Academy Award for her work in Bonnie & Clyde.
