HBO Orders Pilot for Aaron Sorkin Series

HBO has ordered a pilot for a new series by playwright and screenwriter Aaron Sorkin, which is set behind the scenes of a nightly cable news show, according to Deadline.com. Sorkin and film and theater producer Scott Rudin are executive producing the pilot, which will be filmed later this year.
Sorkin’s plays include A Few Good Men and The Farnsworth Invention. He is currently an Academy Award nominee for The Social Network, for which he has already received numerous honors, including The Golden Globe.
His television work includes Sports Night, The West Wing, and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.
