Bryan Singer to Direct Bob Fosse Biopic for HBO

HBO Films has optioned Sam Wasson’s Bye, Bye Life: The Loves and Deaths of Bob Fosse, a forthcoming biography of the Tony Award-winning director and choreographer, and Bryan Singer is attached to direct a television film adaptation, according to The Hollywood Reporter. No writer is attached.

Neil Meron and Craig Zadan, the producing duo behind movies such as Hairspray and Chicago, will executive produce with the film with Singer. The director is best known for X-Men and The Usual Suspects.

Fosse’s many theater credits include The Pajama Game, Damn Yankees, Sweet Charity and Dancin’. His films include Lenny and Cabaret.
