Sanaa Lathan, Anthony Mackie to Star in Vipaka Film

Broadway veterans Anthony Mackie and Sanaa Lathan will star alongside Forest Whitaker and, Mike Epps in the horror film Vipaka,, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Philippe Caland is directing the film, which is written by Shin Shimosawa.
Mackie will play a life coach who is abducted by a client, played by Whitaker. Lathan is playing Mackie’s wife while Epps is playing his brother.
Mackie’s Broadway credits include A Behanding in Spokane and Drowning Crow. Lathan received a Tony Award nomination for A Raisin in the Sun and recently starred Off-Broadway in Second Stage’s production of By the Way, Meet Vera Stark.
