Laura Osnes to Star in City Center Encores! Pipe Dream

Laura Osnes will play Suzy in the New York City Center Encores! production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s 1955 musical Pipe Dream, to run March 28- April 1.

The show be directed by Marc Bruni with music direction by Rob Berman and choreography by Kelli Barclay. Additional cast and creative team will be announced shortly.

Based on John Steinbeck’s novel Sweet Thursday, the work tells the story of the romance between Doc, a marine biologist, and Suzy, a young woman who hitchhikes into town looking for a better life. The score includes such selections as “All at Once You Love Her,” “The Next Time It Happens” and “Everybody’s Got a Home But Me.”

Osnes’ Broadway credits include Bonnie and Clyde, Anything Goes, South Pacific, and Grease. She recently appeared as part of the 92nd Street Y’ Lyrics & Lyricist series and performed as part of the Kennedy Center Honors tribute to Barbara Cook.
