The acclaimed Lisa Kron and Jeanine Tesori musical Fun Home kicks off its Broadway run at the Circle in the Square Theatre and opens tonight, April 19. The production, directed by Sam Gold, began performances March 27 after a successful 2013-2014 run at the Public Theater.

Inspired by Alison Bechdel's graphic novel-memoir of the same title, Fun Home follows the real-life Bechdel's journey to accept the death of her stern, closeted father, Bruce, while coming to terms with her own sexuality. Michael Cerveris, Judy Kuhn, Beth Malone, Sydney Lucas, Emily Skeggs, Joel Perez, Roberta Colindrez, Zell Morrow, and Oscar Williams are featured in the company.
