Fiddler on the Roof Extends at Arena Stage

Joseph Stein, Jerry Bock, and Sheldon Harnick’s classic musical will run an extra week.

Arena Stage‘s currently running production of Fiddler on the Roof has been extended through January 11 with one added week of performances. The musical was originally scheduled to close on January 4.

Joseph Stein, Jerry Bock, and Sheldon Harnick's Fiddler on the Roof opened at the theater on November 12. Staged in the round (with Jerome Robbins' original choreography adapted for that setting), the production is directed by Molly Smith and features choreography by Parker Esse.

The musical stars Jonathan Hadary and Ann Arvia as well as Dorea Schmidt, Hannah Corneau, Maria Rizzo, Shayna Blass, Maya Brettell, Joshua Morgan, Michael Vitaly Sazonov, Kurt Boehm, Erick Devine, and Valerie Leonard.

The production features scenic design by Todd Rosenthal, costume design by Paul Tazewell, lighting design by Colin K. Bills, and sound design by Lindsay Jones.
