Television, film, and Broadway veteran David Burtka will perform his new solo cabaret show at 54 Below on November 25 and 26. Tony Award winner Neil Patrick Harris, Burtka's husband and former How I Met Your Mother castmate, will direct the show, with music direction by Sirius/XM Radio personality Seth Rudetsky. According to the show's description, Harris "has taken the conventional cabaret structure and turned it upside down, creating a show unlike anything that has been seen before."

Burtka made his Broadway debut as Tulsa in the 2003 revival of Gypsy, starring Bernadette Peters. In 2001, he played The Boy in the American premiere of Edward Albee's The Play About the Baby, winning the Clarence Derwent Award for most promising male performer, and in 2004, he originated the role of Matt in the musical The Opposite of Sex — a role he reprised for the 2006 East Coast premiere. Burtka appeared in seven episodes of the CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother in addition to other television roles on The West Wing and Crossing Jordan.
