The Village Voice and the American Theatre Wing's 62nd Annual Obie Awards ceremony took place on May 22, and as previously reported, the casts of Oslo and The Wolves won big, taking home the ensemble awards. Lea DeLaria hosted the evening at Webster Hall.

Other winners for the evening included Jack Cummings III (direction for Transport Group's Picnic), Dane Laffrey (sustained excellence of set and costume design), and Heather MacRae (performance for Transport Group's Come Back, Little Sheba), among others.

The Obie Award judge's panel for this season included Michael Feingold, Obie- and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Ayad Akhtar, Entertainment Weekly theater critic Melissa Rose Bernardo, Obie-winning actor-singer Darius de Haas, Village Voice theater critic Miriam Felton-Dansky, Obie-winning actor Daphne Rubin-Vega, and Obie-winning actor J. Smith Cameron.
