Cast Announced for New York Festival of Song’s Latin Lovers
Casting has been announced for New York Festival Of Song’s presentation of NYFOS@Juilliard: Latin Lovers, a free concert to be presented at the Peter Jay Sharp Theater at Juilliard on January 14. NYFOS Artistic Director Steven Blier will serve as pianist-arranger and host.
This collaboration between NYFOS and The Juilliard School celebrates the sensuous, harmonically rich art songs, theater songs, and dance music of Argentina, Brazil, Cuba and Uruguay, with music by Astor Piazzolla, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Heitor Villa-Lobos, Carlos Gardel, and many others.
The cast will include Meredith Lustig, soprano; Jennifer Zetlan, soprano; Rebecca Jo Loeb, mezzo-soprano; Isabel Vera Rodriguez, mezzo-soprano; Paul Appleby, tenor; Christopher Tiesi, tenor; Carlton Ford, baritone; and Adrian Rosas, bass-baritone. The concert will also feature the work of Eric Roberts, percussionist; João Kouyoumdjian, guitarist; and Jeanne Slater, choreographer.
