The Public Theater has announced the participants for its December Public Forum Drama Club event: a reading and discussion of Thornton Wilder's The Long Christmas Dinner. The event will take place December 10 at Joe's Pub.

The play will be read and discussed by Cynthia Nixon; her daughter, Persephone Mozes; actor and playwright Lisa Kron; media theorist Douglas Rushkoff; Thornton Wilder's nephew and literary executor, Tappan Wilder; Anne-Marie Slaughter, the president and CEO of the New America Foundation; and Slaughter's son Edward Moravcsik.

The Long Christmas Dinner is a one-act play that traces 90 years in the life of an American family.

Public Forum Drama Club brings authors, musicians, journalists, scholars, and actors together to give onstage readings of one-act plays that have resonance in our lives today. Each reading concludes with a discussion of the play.
