Carly Rose Sonenclar, the 13 year-old former Wonderland star with one of the biggest voices that Broadway has heard in ages, has made it into the top 12 on the Fox singing competition series The X Factor.

She made it into the next round on Thursday night’s telecast, although the show’s judges, who include series creator Simon Cowell, gave her mixed reviews after her energetic mash-up performance of Flo Rida’s “Good Feeling” and Etta James’ “Something’s Got a Hold On Me,” on Wednesday night’s show.

However, Sonenclar was ultimately picked by X Factor judge and music superstar Britney Spears to advance as a finalist on the series.

Sonenclar joins a long line of talented stage performers who’ve made names for themselves on televised song and dance contests, including American Idiot star Tony Vincent (The Voice), Rent cast member Frenchie Davis (The Voice), former Wicked ensemble member Adam Lambert (American Idol), and Altar BoyzNeil Haskell (So You Thank You Can Dance?)
