Emily Padgett to Return to Broadway’s Rock of Ages

Emily Padgett will once again play the lead female role of Sherrie in the Broadway production of Rock of Ages, at the Helen Hayes Theatre, beginning Monday, November 7. She replaces Rebecca Faulkenberry, who as previously reported is joining the cast of Broadway’s Spider Man: Turn Off the Dark in the role of Mary Jane Watson.

Padgett previously played her role during Rock of Ages‘ Broadway run at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. She was last seen as Eden Siller in the world premiere of White Noise in Chicago, and recently starred as Sandy in the national tour of Grease. Additional Broadway credits include Legally Blonde The Musical and Grease.

The musical, directed by Kristin Hanggi, and featuring a book by Chris D’Arenzio, focuses on a young rocker hungry for his big break and a small town girl who meet in 1987 at a legendary Hollywood club facing its imminent demise. The score includes the hit songs of iconic rockers like REO Speedwagon, Journey, Styx, Foreigner, Pat Benatar, Whitesnake, and many more.

The current cast also includes Dan Domenech (Drew), Jeremy Woodard (Stacee Jaxx), Mitchell Jarvis (Lonny), Adam Dannheisser (Dennis), Cody Scott Lancaster (Franz), Michele Mais (Justice), Josephine Rose Roberts (Regina), and Paul Schoeffler (Hertz). Rounding out the cast are Tessa Alves, Joey Calveri, Ericka Hunter, Tony LePage, Michael Minarik, Jennifer Rias, Andre Ward and Emily Williams.
