Classical Theatre of Harlem, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, et al. Receive NEA Grants

The National Endowment for the Arts has announced that it has recently awarded $26.68 million through 1,057 grants to nonprofit national, regional, state, and local organizations nationwide.

Among the recipients are Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park and New York’s Classical Theatre of Harlem. The playhouse will use the grant for the final development and production of Behind the Eye, while CTH will receive support for the final development and production of Seed by Radha Blank.

Other grantees include Goodwill Theater in New York for a production of Hamlet, Second Generation Productions for its ongoing reading series of original work by emerging and established Asian American playwrights, and the Creede Repertory Theatre in Colorado, which has received an award to underwrite its Young Audience Outreach Tour (YAOT).
