Wynton Marsalis, along with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, will perform selections from his new extended piece Vitoria Suite in three performances of Jazz Meets Clave to be offered at the Rose Theatre at Jazz at Lincoln Center, October 21-23. The concerts are being held in conjunction with the October 19 release by Emarcy of a two disc CD/DVD set of Marsalis' work.

Vitoria Suite, a 12-movement piece, explores the music of two worlds and two cultures: the jazz and blues of North America and the indigenous music of the Basque region and flamenco of Spain. The disc also features flamenco guitarist Paco de Lucia.

Along with the CD is a "Making Of" DVD, which investigates how much how much the two regions have in common musically.
