The Poland-based company, Theatre of the Eighth Day, will return to the US with the New York City premiere of Wormwood, at The Abrons Arts Center, November 11-15. Lech Raczak has directed the production.

The collaboratively created piece that is based on Tadeusz Konwicki’s satiric A Minor Apocalypsewas first presented in Poland in 1985 — and famously banned at the time because of its open and frank depiction of life in Poland during Martial Law. The company features Ewa Wojciak, Adam Borowski, Tadeusz Janiszewski, and Marcin Keszycki. Composer Arnold Dabrowski provides original music.
