Tony Award winner Jim Dale will perform an excerpt from Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson’s Peter and the Sword of Mercy, as part of Symphony Space’s Thalia Kids’ Book Club, on Sunday, October 25 at 1pm.

The event will also feature the book’s authors talking about this latest entry in their series of bestselling prequels to Peter Pan, a discussion with the audience, a creative writing project, and a book signing.

In related news, Symphony Space’s Just Kidding series will present Ezra Jack Keats in Story and Song on October 24 at 11am. The event features live readings from Sonia Manzano and Dominic Colon, big-screen projections, and original Keats-inspired tunes from The Deedle Deedle Dees and Randy Kaplan.

Dale won his Tony Award for his performance in Barnum. Among his other Broadway credits are Scapino, Joe Egg and The Threepenny Opera. He may be best known for his work recording the entirety of J.K. Rowlings’ Harry Potter series as audiobooks.
