Chamberlin, Gallagher, et al. to Honor Mayer at Theatreworks Gala

Michael Mayer, who won the 2007 Tony Award as Best Director of a Musical for Spring Awakening, will be honored with the Lee Salk Goodworks Award at Theatreworks/USA’s annual gala, to be held at 6pm on Monday, October 22 at the Rainbow Room.

The event will be hosted by Kevin Chamberlin and feature performances by John Bolton, John Gallagher Jr., Joe Iconis, Lauren Pritchard, Seth Rudetsky, and the Children’s Aid Society Choir. Other honorees will include Philip Coltoff, the former executive director of the Children’s Aid Society, and C. Warren Moses, the organization’s current CEO.

Mayer’s other directing credits include the Broadway productions of ‘night, Mother, Thoroughly Modern Millie, A View from the Bridge, Side Man, and You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown.
