Once Upon a Time in New York City, a concert series featuring songs about the Big Apple written by a number of Broadway vets, will make its 54 Below debut on November 19 at 9pm.

The performance will include over a dozen world premiere songs. Contributing writers include Jeff Bowen ([title of show]), Carmel Dean, David Kirshenbaum (Vanities), Lauren Marcus, Chris Miller (Tuck Everlasting), Nathan Tysen (Tuck Everlasting), Eric Price (Hello Out There), Will Reynolds (The Greenwood Tree), Rob Rokicki (Love NY), Louis St. Louis (Grease 2), and Katie Thompson (Giant). Additional writers will be announced at a later date, along with a list of Broadway performers who will offer stories of their ups and downs in New York City as they perform the roster of original music.

The concert is produced and hosted by 54 Below's new director of programming Jennifer Ashley Tepper and will benefit the Actors Fund. Joshua Zecher-Ross will lend his musical direction to the evening of performances.
