Memorial Celebration for Producer Randall L. Wreghitt Set for September 15

An open-to-the-public memorial celebration for Broadway producer Randall L. Wreghitt will be held at the Shubert Theatre on Thursday, September 15 at 1pm. Doors will open at 12:30pm.

Wreghitt passed away in May, due to complications from carbon monoxide poisoning. He was 55.

His 2001 production of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest received the Tony Award for Best Revival. His many other Broadway credits include The Miracle Worker, Impressionism, Grey Gardens, Little Women – The Musical, The Lieutenant of Inishmore, Golda’s Balcony, Metamorphoses, Electra, Band in Berlin, The Lonesome West, and The Beauty Queen of Leenane.

His many Off-Broadway productions include Three Tall Women, The Waverly Gallery, As Bees in Honey Drown, The Food Chain, Camping with Henry and Tom, and Zombie Prom.

In addition, he produced such shows as Lobby Hero, Velocity, and Crush the Infamous in the U.K.

Along with his work as a producer, he was founder of Pro-Marketing, a marketing and promotions company that specializes in entertainment. In 1996 he won the Robert Whitehead Award for “outstanding achievement in commercial theatrical producing.”
