Kelsey Grammer, Douglas Hodge, Marin Mazzie, Bernadette Peters, et al. Featured on 2010 Broadway’s Carols for a Cure CD

The performers and track list for the 2010 Broadway’s Carols for a Cure CD have been announced. The disc, which raises money for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids (BC/EFA), will be available for purchase beginning in October.

Featured voices on the album include Bernadette Peters and the cast and orchestra from A Little Night Music, Kelsey Grammer, Douglas Hodge, Christine Andreas and the cast of La Cage aux Folles; Marin Mazzie and Jason Danieley, from Next to Normal; plus the casts from Memphis, Elf, and In the Heights. In addition, Jackie Hoffman and the cast of The Addams Family offer “It’s Chanukah,” an original song by Hoffman and Lon Hoyt, which they wrote during their time together at Hairspray.

The recording will feature traditional music such as “Do You Hear What I Hear?” performed by the company of American Idiot, “Hark the Herald Angels Sing” featuring cast members from The Lion King and “O Holy Night” delivered by members of the Mamma Mia! company. Specialty songs will be “Another Geordie Christmas” from the Billy Elliot cast, “Run Rudolph Run!” performed by the company of Million Dollar Quartet, and “Here We Go…” delivered by Wicked cast members.

Broadway’s Carols for a Cure, Volume 12 will be available for purchase online from www.broadwaycares.org and by phone, by calling 212-840-0770 x250 Monday-Friday, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. EST. Additionally, the CDs will be sold during a six-week “Gypsy-of-the-Year” fundraising period from mid-October through mid-December at participating Broadway and Off-Broadway shows in New York. The CDs also will be available at select venues throughout the U.S., including The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC; The LA Phil Store in Disney Hall, and The John W. Engeman Theater in Northport, New York.
