As previously announced, the Cooper Union series will also include performance artist Karen Finley, along with former president of NOW Karen DeCrow as part of the evening that celebrates the college's role in Women's Suffrage and Women's Rights (November 19). On December 1, actress Olympia Dukakis and playwright Tony Kushner, along with writer Salman Rushdie and others, will pay homage to the luminaries who've appeared at Cooper Union, like Paul Auster, Pearl S. Buck and W.H. Auden.
Other events in the Great Evenings series will include a program dedicated to Science and Technology (October 15), Radical Politics (January 21), and Abraham Lincoln (February 25). All of the entries in the series will be offered free-of-charge.
