Irish Repertory Theatre’s New Girl in Town ExtendsThrough September 14

Irish Repertory Theatre has announced that its currently running production of Bob Merrill and George Abbott’s New Girl in Town has been extended through September 14. Originally scheduled to close on September 9, New Girl in Town is directed by Charlotte Moore, with musical direction by John Bell and choreography by Barry McNabb.

New Girl in Town is a musical based on Eugene O’Neill’s Anna Christie. In the play, Anna, a young woman with a secret past, arrives in 1926 New York City searching for her father, old Chris Christopherson.

As previously announced, the cast features Cliff Bemis, Dewey Caddell, Abby Church, Patrick Cummings, Danielle Ferland, Matt Gibson, Kimberly Dawn Neumann, Alex Puette, Margaret Loesser Robinson, Amber Stone, and Stephen Zinnato.

The design includes James Morgan (set design), Mary Jo Dondlinger (lighting design), China Lee (costume design), Zach Williamson (sound design), and Robert-Charles Vallance (wig design).
