Rodrick Covington, Ken Robinson, Josh Tower et al. Set for NYMF’s Central Avenue Breakdown

Casting has been announced for the new musical Central Avenue Breakdown, featuring music & lyrics by Kevin Ray, book by Kevin Ray & Josh Sohn with additional story by Suellen Vance. Christopher Windom will direct the production, which is part of the New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) at The Signature Theatre – The Peter Norton Space, October 10-16.

Set in 1940s Los Angeles, the musical centers on brothers Bill and Jim Marcel. They are both sax players struggling to carve out their own legacies, but first they must overcome a destructive rivalry, addiction, and tragedy before it’s too late.

Ken Robinson and Rodrick Covington star as the borthers, with the cast also featuring
Albert Christmas, Jennie L. Harney, Rebecca LaChance, Thaddeus McCants, Eileen Patterson, Nicole Powell, Lou Steele, Josh Tower, and Anne Marie Vick.
